Taylor Wessing has made up one London lawyer in a 10-strong partner promotions round.

City tax and incentives lawyer Anna Humphrey is one of two female lawyers promoted this year in a round dominated by the firm’s offices in Germany and Austria. She has spent 10 years at the firm after training at Osborne Clarke.

Six of the new partners are based in the firm’s German offices in Munich, Berlin, Duesseldorf, Hamburg and Frankfurt, alongside one in Vienna, with the other two promotions in Dubai and Hong Kong.

Last year’s intake – which was announced in October – also included two female lawyers as part of a 15-strong round.

Taylor Wessing’s London promotions have fallen during the past three years, with two made up in the City last year and five promoted in 2015.

Meanwhile, Debevoise & Plimpton has also promoted one London lawyer to partner this year, with white-collar counsel Jane Shvets made up in the US firm’s City litigation team

The bulk of the firm’s seven partner promotions this year are in its New York office, where four lawyers have been made up, while two lawyers have also been promoted in Hong Kong.
