Gateley has become only the second firm in the UK top 50 to secure an alternative business structure (ABS) licence, allowing the firm to appoint non-solicitors to its membership from 1 January 2014.
The licence, which the firm was awarded last Friday (13 December) by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, also permits Gateley to seek external investment.
