The AA has applied to become an alternative business structure (ABS) as the motoring giant weighs up whether to expand its legal offering to cover services such as property and employment advice.

Currently, the AA offers its 16 million members the opportunity to draft their own legal documents such as complaint letters, tenancy agreements and wills – all of which are produced by insurance claims specialist firm, Cogent Law, part of Parabis Group.
