A Richmond-based landlord has been ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution to tenants who were allegedly misled about low-income housing programs, the Virginia Attorney General’s Office announced in a statement Tuesday.
Attorney General Jason Miyares said his office reached a settlement agreement with JumpStart U2 Inc., Vasilios Education Center Inc., and their founder, Carl. S. Vaughan, for violating the Virginia Consumer Protection Act and the Virginia Residential Landlord and Tenant Act.
