James Nimmo, telecoms partner at Ashurst Morris Crisp, is leaving the firm to join US firm Squire Sanders & Dempseys’ expanding IT and telecoms practice.

Nimmo, who worked closely with telecoms partner Stewart White, who has also resigned from Ashursts to join Vodafone, is understood to have made the decision to retire from the partnership before being approached by Squire.
