Clifford Chance (CC) has hired King & Spalding real estate partner Alexandre Couturier to join the firm’s global real estate practice as a partner in the Paris office. Couturier joined King & Spalding in 2012 as of counsel and was appointed partner in 2014. Previously, he was an associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for nearly seven years from 2005-2012.

The firm has also appointed litigation partner Jeroen Ouwehand as Amsterdam managing partner. He succeeds Bas Boris Visser who was appointed as the firm’s global head of innovation and business change earlier this year. Ouwehand, who started his career at the firm in 1992 and was appointed as a partner in 2000, began his four-year term as managing partner on 1 November this year.
