Training kicks off with the graduate programme, which includes a module on leadership and the opportunity to lead business research projects at clients. The firm also runs a year-long management development programme for more senior lawyers. Communication is aided by a firmwide intranet with a microsite for the London office, which includes a shared office calendar and features recent successes, such as deal highlights.
Reed Smith’s Above and Beyond awards programme recognises exceptional achievement and its sports and social committee runs a range of social, sporting and charity events. The office also operates a wellbeing programme and marks stress awareness day in November by holding a programme of events including sessions on time management, financial planning and mindfulness.
To promote diversity the firm has established a disability taskforce and runs diversity training including unconscious bias awareness.
