Davis Polk & Wardwell and Sidley Austin have landed the leading roles advising Swedish manufacturer Electrolux on its $3.3bn (£2bn) purchase of US-based General Electric’s (GE’s) appliances business.
The acquisition, which will be financed by a bridge facility, will bulk up Electrolux’s position in North America. The deal is expected to close during 2015.
