Richards Butler has secured an historic merger with US firm Reed Smith as the firms vow to secure a full financial union by 1 January, 2007.
Almost all of the partners at both firms (98%) voted in favour of the deal on 14 June, to create a firm with 1,300 lawyers and a global turnover of around $725m (£414m).
