The managing attorney of one of Virginia’s Legal Aid Works’ offices has been awarded the 2023 Virginia Legal Aid Award for managing a large caseload of family law cases and assisting her clients in obtaining over $1.13 million in child and spousal support awards over the span of her career, the state bar recently announced.

Tamara X. Moore, the managing attorney of the Culpeper branch office of Legal Aid Works, will be presented with the award next month at the Access to Legal Services Committee 30th Anniversary Dinner during the Virginia State Bar Annual Meeting. The award recognizes an outstanding legal aid attorney who exhibits innovation and creativity in advocacy, experience and excellence in service, and impact beyond their own program’s service area.
