A legal settlement between PETA and Maryland’s Tri-State Zoological Park led to the rescue of 65 animals of 30 different species, the organization recently announced.
The rescue, which the organization said is its group’s largest-ever rescue of animals from a roadside zoo, occurred after the settlement forced it to close after years of violations.
