HSF promotes 20 to partnership including six women

Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) has promoted 20 lawyers to its global partnership. Half of the new appointments are in the firm’s UK and EMEA offices including seven in London. The remaining 10 new partners are spread across Asia-Pacific, including six in Australia. 

Overall the new partner promotions span 11 of the firm’s offices. Six of the promotions are women. 

By practice, corporate has gained the largest number of new partners, securing eight of the promotions. The remainder are spread across practices including disputes, employment, pensions & incentives, energy, finance, M&A, projects and real estate.

Last year the Anglo-Australian firm promoted a total of 21 lawyers, with nine joining  the firm’s London office.
