Slaughters leads on dual IPO of Oaktree-backed Irish housebuilding company

The new company, Glenveagh Properties, was founded by Oaktree managing director and former Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft partner, Justin Bickle. The company has a focus on developing starter, mid-size and executive, and high-end houses and apartments in the greater Dublin area and is seeking to raise ��550m (��492m) through the dual IPO. Slaughters' equity capital markets partners Susannah Macknay and Jeff Twentyman and tax partner Gareth Miles are advising Glenveagh, alongside teams from US firm Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison and Ireland's A&L Goodbody. Paul Weiss, which is advising on US law aspects of the listing, is fielding a team led by London head of securities and capital markets Mark Bergman, while A&L Goodbody is advising on Irish law with corporate head David Widger and corporate partner Matthew Cole leading. Ashurst is advising the underwriting banks �� Credit Suisse and Ireland's Davy. Its team is being led by head of equity capital markets partner Nicholas Holmes. Fellow Irish firm William Fry is��also advising the banks.��The firm's��team includes corporate partners Eavan Saunders and Mark Talbot, real estate partner Lisa McCarthy and construction and engineering partner Bryanna Ryan. Other roles Slaughters has taken for Oaktree in recent years have included advising on <a href="http://www.legalweek.com/sites/legalweek/2013/07/08/latham-slaughters-and-taylor-wessing-lead-carlyles-chesapeake-buyout/">the sale of pharmaceuticals and packaging giant Chesapeake��to the Carlyle Group in 2013</a>, as well as��<a href="http://www.legalweek.com/sites/legalweek/2013/07/08/latham-slaughters-and-taylor-wessing-lead-carlyles-chesapeake-buyout/">Stock Spirits Group's London IPO during the same year</a>. <
