Results from the top law firms in the US are coming in thick and fast, and a clear picture is emerging (with the odd exception, such as Cadwalader) – 2016 was a strong year for those in the world’s largest legal market.

Last week, Cooley, Davis Polk, Milbank and White & Case were among a host of US firms posting positive growth in 2016, though the latter saw its London office outpaced by the firm globally as Brexit and slower deal markets made their impact felt.
