Expatriation, divorce and death: introducing this year's Private Client Forum Americas

In this video, Katten Muchin Rosenman partner Joshua Rubenstein points out the highlights of this year’s Private Client Forum Americas, which he is chairing. He is joined by Ross Webber from the Bermuda Business Development Agency to introduce the event.

Taking place at Rosewood Tucker’s Point in Bermuda on 10-12 February, the theme of the conference this year is change, and how private client advisers can help their clients prepare for it.

Key panel sessions will see Todd Beutler from DLA Piper Hong Kong and Kaye Scholer’s David Hirsberg provide an update on immigration and expatriation regulations. Thomas Handler of Handler Thayer, David Mizrachi from Mizrachi Davarro & Urriola in Panama and Ashley Fife from Appleby’s Bermuda office will debate the role and responsibilities of the family office.

Meanwhile, Timothy Youdan from Canadian firm Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg will look at the international tax implications of death and Camilla Baldwin of UK firm Camilla Baldwin and Michelle Wolfe, Meritus Trust, Bermuda will consider the growing pains of families, including cohabitation, marriage, children and divorce.
