Partnership for Schools (PfS), the delivery body for the Government's Building Schools for the Future (BSF) initiative, has unveiled the firms on its new legal panel.
Seventeen law firms feature on the roster. They are: Addleshaw Goddard, Beachcroft, Bevan Brittan, Burges Salmon, Dickinson Dees, DLA Piper, Eversheds, Mills & Reeve, Nabarro, Norton Rose, Pinsent Masons, Sharpe Pritchard, TPP Law, Trowers & Hamlins, Walker Morris, Ward Hadaway and Wragge & Co.
The current panel - which expires in July - comprises 12 firms. The new arrangement will run for a minimum of two years, with a possible extension of a further two years.
BSF is the largest single schools capital investment programme in the UK for over 50 years. Eighty local authorities are now engaged in the BSF programme with 20 local education partnerships formed to deliver school-building projects in these areas.
PfS chief executive Tim Byles commented: "The legal advisory services framework will provide a forum to ensure that good practice is captured and embedded across BSF projects. The advisers will be able to bring experience and ideas to complement the skills and knowledge within local authority BSF teams."
