Eversheds has expanded its international presence into Mauritius and Albania after adding two new offices to its Eversheds International network.
The firm has opened an office in Mauritius, through South African Eversheds International member firm Routledge Modise, and an office in Albania through Italian arm Eversheds Piergrossi Bianchini.
The base in Port Louis, Mauritius, is headed by Routledge Modise partner Miro Dvorak. Dvorak has a broad corporate practice covering private equity, M&A, restructuring and aviation finance.
Eversheds Piergrossi Bianchini corporate and commercial partner Alvise Dona dalle Rose heads up the Tirana base in Albania. Both launches went live in April.
Eversheds head of international Stephen Hopkins said: "Mauritius is an entry point for a lot of investment into Africa, and an office there will aid clients who wish to invest and to structure their investments in Africa."
He added: "In Albania, there are a number of major construction and infrastructure projects. Major developers around the world have interests in the jurisdiction. The strategy is to follow demand from our clients."
The launches come two months after Eversheds' Czech ally Balcar Polansky Eversheds launched a new base in Ostrava, its second office in the Czech Republic.
