Winston & Strawn has bolstered its Paris office with the addition of a team of lawyers from Latham & Watkins.

The litigation team hire sees partners Patrick Dunaud and Emmanuel Drai join from Winston's US rival, together with three associates.

The group, which focuses on intellectual property (IP) and corporate litigation as well as corporate social responsibility (CSR), compliance and risk management, joins Winston's eight-partner litigation team in Paris, taking the total number of fee earners in the group to 22.

Winston Paris managing partner Vincent Sol said: "They are highly regarded in the market and their unusually wide range of experience will be a tremendous asset to our clients. It will be a perfect complement to our IP and complex cross-border litigation practices."

According to Sol the lawyers will use their CSR and compliance skills to work alongside the existing environmental practice to form a sustainable development and risk management group.

At Latham, Dunaud previously served as chair of the firm's Paris litigation practice and global co-chair of the firm's securities litigation and professional liability practice groups - a role he shared with Drai.

The departures will leave Latham with a total of 13 litigation partners in Paris.
