Jane Amphlett joins Finers' London employment team after spending six years at Addleshaws, before which she was a partner at Manches.
Her practice focuses on restrictive covenant and gardening leave disputes, reorganisations and TUPE regulations, as well as PFI/PPP projects and discrimination claims. She was also the head of Addleshaws' equality group.
Finers has bought in four other partners during the last 12 months, boosting its construction, commercial dispute resolution, property business crime and professional discipline practices. The firm also made up one partner in commercial dispute resolution earlier this year.
Finers managing partner Paul Millett: "This ongoing programme of recruitment shows that Finers is a firm which, even in the continuing difficult economic climate, is willing and able to grow strategically."
Amphlett's departure marks the fifth partner departure for Addleshaws in recent weeks. Earlier this month the firm's former intellectual property (IP) head Richard Kempner launched Kempner Robinson, a Leeds-based IP boutique, with Addleshaw patent litigation partner Stuart Jackson also joining the practice.
Meanwhile, Northwest firm DWF recruited Addleshaws' Stephen Houston as its national head of corporate, while Stephenson Harwood signed up project finance and banking partner Natalie Elphicke for its London finance team.
