Healthcare lawyer Francis Serbaroli joins the New York office of Greenberg - which has a UK alliance with Olswang - as a partner in the health and Food and Drug Administration business practice group.
Harold Iselin, head of the firm's New York State healthcare practice commented: "[Francis's] arrival marks the expansion of our New York State healthcare practice and makes us one of a few firms with lawyers specialising in this area in both Albany and New York City."
Serbaroli added: "I am excited about joining the Greenberg team. I look forward to taking advantage of the firm's multidimensional approach to healthcare law to help grow the practice and to continue providing clients with the highest quality service."
Greenberg is the largest US firm not to have a UK office but has a presence in Amsterdam, Zurich and Tokyo.
Since Cadwalader's announcement of 96 job cuts in July, the firm has lost Beijing head Mark Roppel, who joined Allen & Overy in August, New York-based Andrew Perel, who joined Steptoe & Johnson in September, and London partner Jackson Taylor, who joined Latham & Watkins in mid-October.
