The promotions, which take effect from 1 January, 2008, see lawyers made up in 12 of the transatlantic firm's 21 offices. In London, the new partners are James Wilson (corporate), Thomas Ince (employment) and Emma Lenthall (litigation).
Two new partners are made up in Munich - one apiece in real estate and corporate - with the rest of the promotions coming across Reed Smith's network of US offices.
Over half of the promotions worldwide come in the firm's litigation practice, which receives a total of 18 new partners. The remaining 13 promotions come in the firm's umbrella business and regulatory department.
The news marks Reed Smith's first integrated round of promotions since its merger with legacy City firm Richards Butler went live at the beginning of 2007, when four Richards Butler associates and two legacy Reed Smith associates were made up to partner in London.
Commenting on the latest promotions, Reed Smith London managing partner Richard Swinburn said: "2007 has been a momentous year for the firm with the culmination of three international mergers. These promotions from within our own ranks reflect each individual's dedication, excellent practice skills and significant contribution to the success of the firm."
