The firm blamed the cuts on reduced demand from clients, with the job losses affecting lawyers in the corporate, finance and projects practices.
Regional managing partner for the Middle East David Church said: "We have been working with our colleagues on a number of alternative solutions in order to minimise the total number of job losses, however we still need to realign our employee headcount in this market."
"Regrettably, this readjustment has lead to an 8% overall reduction of fee earners, principally within the corporate and finance and projects related practices. We deeply regret the impact that this decision will have on our people and are working through this transition period with those affected."
The cuts in the Middle East come after redundancies in the UK, US and Asian practices.
Over the last two months alone, the firm has announced 80 associate job losses and 100 support staff cuts in the US as well as 54 jobs cuts in its Asia practice, including 20 fee earners. It launched its second UK redundancy consultation in February, with up to 30 fee earners and more than 100 support staff at risk.

DLA is sacrificing the people who have worked hard to build the business in order to maintain its profits per equity partner which is its sole raison d'etre. Investors in People????

These figures do not tell the whole story. Morale in the office must be rock bottom right now. I'm sure clients are concerned about the quality of work the remaining lawyers would produce.
