The City firm is set to lose 18 support staff and 15 lawyers as part of a consultation launched in January in response to the economic downturn.
The consultation was the second launched by LG after the firm placed 21 support staff under consultation, resulting in the loss of 16 jobs.
At that time the firm said that the cuts were part of a review of its business function and not as a result of the recession. During that time LG also cut back on evening support staff.
LG is not the first City firm to save jobs during a redundancy consultation, with rivals Denton Wilde Sapte managing to hold on to four jobs after placing 80 under review.
Dentons suffered the loss of 76 jobs last month, including 37 fee earners, after launching a consultation in January. The firm was able to save jobs by offering the option of a six-month sabbatical package and alternative roles within the firm.
The news comes as Trowers & Hamlins has cut 17 fee earners positions in its City office. The jobs cuts are Trowers' first in London, following earlier layoffs in Manchester, Exeter and the Middle East.
