Shoosmiths excels in website survey

Shoosmiths has come top in a survey of law firm websites undertaken by Intendance, the online business applications company.

The survey aimed to find the best websites operated by the UK's top 50 fastest growing firms.

Websites were assessed using three criteria: usability, content and design. According to Intendance, the usability of legal websites lags behind content and design.

As part of the research, firms were interviewed on their web strategy.
Although firms identified their websites as important recruitment vehicles, board involvement was found to be limited.

A spokesman said: "Once again our findings show there is no link between the size of firm and the quality of its website. It is not how much money you spend on your website that determines success on the Internet, it is how well you spend it."
