Overview
One of Scotland's so-called 'big four', Dundas & Wilson has - like rivals including McGrigors and Maclay Murray & Spens - increasingly looked to broaden its horizons beyond its traditional heartland of late. As such, recent investment has come in the City, where the firm re-launched in 2002 following its break from the Anderson Legal network, of which Dundas was once a leading member.
The Scots giant now has getting on for 100 fee earners, including more than 20 partners, on the ground in the City.
"[A] well-established firm with many good people facing increasing competition for clients in a congested Scottish market," begins the first Dundas contributor.
"It's not easy for Scottish firms in London but Dundas will do better in the City than the rest of the national 'big four'," contends another contributor.

Dundas made up half a dozen new partners in 2008 - the same number as it had the year before. Three of the promotions came in London and three in Edinburgh, meaning Glasgow missed out entirely this year.
