Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has hired a Sullivan & Cromwell corporate special counsel in Hong Kong as a partner. Calvin Lai specialises in US securities transactions and M&A work. The hire comes after the firm’s Beijing office promoted capital markets lawyer Antony Dapiran to partner earlier this month.
