Under the terms of the deal, which takes effect from September 2009, Weil Gotshal’s annual intake of trainees will spend two terms at the College in Moorgate before a final term studying the firm’s bespoke electives.
Weil Gotshal first began taking on trainees in the City in 1998, two years after opening in the capital, and now brings in 14 trainees a year.
Commenting on the scheme, Weil Gotshal graduate recruitment partner Jonathan Wood said: “We believe that it will enable us to get our trainees even more up to speed when they start with us, by getting them used to our precedents and our approach to client service.”
