Latham’s Friel makes it as Euro head of tax

Latham & Watkins tax partner Daniel Friel has been appointed vice chair of the firm’s European tax department. Friel joined the US giant in the capital two years ago from Lovells. Laurence Stein, global chair of the tax department, said: “The creation of this position is a reflection of the achievements of our tax practice and the growth of the European practice in recent years.”
