Stephenson Harwood boosts aviation

Stephenson Harwood has hired a veteran aviation finance partner from CMS Cameron McKenna, Paul Richardson, who joined at the beginning of the month.

Richardson, who has been at partner at Camerons since 1992, becomes the eighth partner in Stephenson Harwood’s London aviation team.

He is lead UK counsel to Macquarie AirFinance, one of the world’s largest operating lessors. His other clients include Willis Lease Finance Corporation and BAE Systems. He also works on rail financing, securitisation and general banking work.

Richardson began his career at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, before joining legacy practice Cameron Markby Hewitt.

Stephenson Harwood’s aviation team is headed by Guy Liddle, who joined the firm in 2005 from Lovells.
