The firm is adding 11 new partners to its international network, with three associates making the step up in
Six new partners are made up in the firm’s key banking practice – the most of any group – while corporate gets three promotions, ahead of dispute resolution and competition with two each.
The promotions mark a decrease from the total in 2007, when the firm made up 23 new partners.
Norton Rose chief executive Peter Martyr commented: “We have continued to a strategy of growth this year and added to the laterals who have joined in the last 11 months. Our new partners are all supporting growth in our key areas of business and in some cases substantially increase our footprint in the smaller offices outside
He added: “The promotions absolutely reflect our intensions to bulk up our critical mass.”
Norton Rose has made 19 partner-level hires over the last 12 months, with the latest promotions bringing the total partnership to 262, effective from 1 May.
