Jones’ practice focuses primarily on property development, which sees him acting for developers, landowners, funders and end users on a range of projects. Previous eye-catching instructions for Jones include headline roles on a £250m urban regeneration scheme in Reading town centre and on the creation of new town Harlow North, which will contain up to 50,000 new homes.
Jones qualified at Herbert Smith before becoming a partner at Pinsent Masons in 2000. He moved to national rival DLA Piper at the beginning of 2004, where he was local head of the development, investment and public sector team in

Hiring Jones will boost Mills & Reeve to 80 partners after the promotion of four new partners this year, which also saw it seal its conversion to limited liability partnership status.
Mills & Reeve this year unveiled a 14% rise in fee income to hit £57m, while average profits per equity partner rose 9% to £275,000.
