National trio Beachcroft, Mills & Reeve and Irwin Mitchell have become the latest firms to announce their 2008 partner promotions.

Beachcroft has promoted six lawyers to its partnership, with four being made up in the dispute resolution group, plus one apiece in commercial and real estate. The promotions will bring the total partnership to 144 and match last year’s tally of six new partners.

London and Bristol both gained two new partners while Leeds and Birmingham each gained one. In addition, 22 lawyers are set to become associates.

Mills & Reeve, meanwhile, is promoting seven lawyers to its partnership- up from four last year. The appointments, four of whom are women, bring the total number of partners at the firm to 89.

Birmingham gained the most new partners with three. Cambridge scored two and London and Norwich picked up one apiece.

Irwin Mitchell has promoted four lawyers to partner, meanwhile, bringing the total partnership to 113. In addition, four non-lawyers have been promoted to associate director.

The promotions at Beachcroft and Irwin Mitchell will take affect from 1 May, while Mills & Reeves’ appointments kick in from 1 June.

Yesterday (21 April) SJ Berwin became the latest City firm to announce its promotions, making up eight new partners, six of whom are based in the City.
