The new appointments, which are effective from 1 May, grow the firm’s total partnership to 212. The promotions represent a significant hike on last year’s partnership round, when the firm made up 11 new partners.
The firm’s employment and pensions practice gained the most promotions this year with seven, while the property, construction and projects group gained six new partners. Corporate and tax gained two partners each while commercial and intellectual property gained one partner apiece.
The promotions are largely concentrated on the firm’s UK offices, with Birmingham taking seven new partners and London and Manchester gaining four each, with one new partner getting the nod in Leeds.

The news comes after national rival Eversheds last week made up 30 new partners, while Addleshaw Goddard and Pinsent Masons promoted nine and 17 new partners respectively.
