Consultancy giant Accenture has put the finishing touches to its long-awaited panel line-up, with six firms thought to have won coveted mandates.

It is understood that the company has retained four of its previous advisers — Allen & Overy, Field Fisher Waterhouse, Baker & McKenzie and its main corporate adviser, Clifford Chance.

It is unclear whether CMS Cameron McKenna and Berwin Leighton Paisner — which both won mandates with Accenture when it last reviewed its external advisers in 2004 — have been retained.

Twenty City firms as well as those on Accenture’s existing panel were invited to tender for the review, which kicked off earlier this year.

The process was conducted exclusively online, with bidding firms using the same procurement services that Accenture markets to its own clients.

Global legal head for financial services Patrick Rowe led the review.
