He added: “The next year is likely to be a more complex time for the whole legal and business sector, but we have a strong foundation for further progress.”
The news comes after the firm earlier this year announced a number of new partner promotions for its London and Edinburgh office, taking its all-equity partnership to 86. Corporate received three new partners, with Douglas Land, Greig Williamson and Staurt MacLean promoted in the transactional team. Alan Fulton and Michael Wrigley were made partners in banking while Nick Padget got the nod in real estate.
Meanwhile, rival Scots firm Harper Macleod has posted its eighth consecutive year of double-digit growth, reporting a 16% increase in turnover to £14.2m for 2007-08. In addition, the firm said it plans to expand its Glasgow office as well as expand and relocate its offering in Edinburgh.
