Dundas &
Wilson, it was announced today (13 September).
M&A specialist Scott Boyle joins Shepherds’ Glasgow corporate team as a partner next week.
Boyle was previously a senior associate at Dundas, where his practice also took in the public-private partnership/private finance initiative secondary buy-out market. He will work alongside Shepherds’ Aberdeen corporate team, which focuses on the oil and gas sector.
The hire – the firm’s sixth partner-level appointment in 2007 – follows the arrival in July of Dundas projects specialist Juliet Haldane, who also switched to Shepherds’ Glasgow arm.
However, Shepherds has focused much of its recent investment on London, where it recently doubled its office space to 17,850 sq ft following a hiring spree that included the arrival of Shearman & Sterling corporate partner Angus Rollo.
Commenting on the latest appointment, Shepherds chief executive Patrick Andrews said: “[Boyle] joins one of our best-performing teams, with expertise in other divisional areas. He has a lot to offer the firm and our clients, who continue to demand the best.”
