Dickinson Dees and Thomas Eggar have joined the growing band of regional firms to end the summer with a rash of lateral hiring.
As part of a drive to strengthen its fledgling Yorkshire arm, Dickinson Dees has recruited respected real estate partner David Stone.
Stone joins the Newcastle leader’s York office from Hull practice Andrew M Jackson, where he was a partner in the property division.
Stone has been handed a brief to oversee the expansion of a new commercial property practice from the 78-partner firm’s York branch, which will target clients in the wider Yorkshire region. He has previously taken headline roles on a string of industrial, leisure and retail projects across the UK.
Thomas Eggar, meanwhile, has hired a quartet of senior lawyers for its private client department.
Anthony Nixon joins the firm as a partner from regional rival Lester Aldridge, bringing with him associate Sue Adams. Nixon and Adams specialise in tax and trusts work and will be based in the firm’s Chichester office.
Tax specialist Philipp Mitterbauer joins Thomas Eggar’s Gatwick branch as a German attorney after a spell with London practice Dawsons. The firm has also hired former Ernst & Young tax specialist Ana Wisdell as a consultant in its Gatwick office.
