Firms including Allen & Overy, Linklaters, CMS Cameron McKenna, Norton Rose, Lovells, Denton Wilde Sapte and Eversheds have all been reappointed to the panel, with each firm’s place secure for two years.
The news comes as it emerges that Adrian Miles, legal director of Lloyds’ wholesale and international banking division, is set to retire from his position leading the group.
Miles has previously taken the lead on Lloyds’ panel reviews, which take place every two years.
Lloyds’ panel includes around 15 specific sub-panels covering areas including capital markets, commercial and major corporate work, with the panels split between the bank’s divisions, which include retail and wholesale banking.
The appointments were confirmed to firms at the end of last year. Other firms understood to have been appointed to the panel in the past include Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Clifford Chance and Wragge & Co.
News of Miles’ retirement and confirmation of the panel follow the bank’s December hire of Margaret Coltman from Norton Rose as general counsel and company secretary.
Coltman filled the roles left by general counsel Geoffrey Johnson and company secretary Alastair Michie, who have both retired. Coltman, a corporate lawyer, spent three decades with Norton Rose.
