Miguel Rodriguez joined the firm last week from CMS Albinana & Suarez de Lezo, where he was the partner in charge of the intellectual property (IP), IT & media group.
Rodriguez will join existing IP partner Manuel Lobato, doubling the partner total in Bird & Bird’s 10-lawyer Spanish IP practice. The hire follows that of former DLA Piper European Union and competition partner Antonio Creus at the end of last month, also in
Rodriguez’s practice focuses on a wide range of IP issues, including copyright, patents, trademarks, unfair competition, defamation, privacy law and image rights. Prior to joining Albinana, he was a partner at Gomez-Acebo & Pombo.
