Taylor Wessing is weighing up plans to launch in the Middle East, as the Anglo German firm looks to bolster links with its Dubai ally Key & Dixon.
The firms have had an exclusive relationship since 2002 when Taylor Wessing tied up with the five-partner IT and construction boutique, which had previously been allied to Nabarro Nathanson.
Taylor Wessing senior partner Martin Winter confirmed that the two firms were looking at options to work more closely together.
He said: "There are discussions afoot but no immediate plans to merge. It is a case of working out how best to develop; we have worked very successfully together and are asking if it would work better if there was a formal tie-up. Watch this space."
Taylor Wessing is the latest in a string of UK firms that are moving to bolster their presence in the region with Herbert Smith last month securing its long-awaited Dubai launch after recruiting a two-partner team from Norton Rose.
