Watson Farley & Williams is set to launch an office in Germany following the appointment of two partners.
The City firm is expected to launch an office in Hamburg, its seventh international base, in October following the hire of Thomas Hollenhorst, deputy head of the legal group at Germany’s Berenberg Bank, and Maren Brandes from shipping boutique Dr Schackow & Partner.
The firm is to focus its German practice on shipping and shipping finance, though it intends to expand into a more general finance and corporate practice.
