Fee income at Hill Dickinson has risen by almost 7% over the last financial year to reach a new high of £73.1m, the firm announced today (20 June).

The new revenue total represents an increase of 6.9% on last year’s figure of £68.5m. The firm pointed to its employment team as one of its strongest performers by practice area, notching up growth of 28%, while the construction team saw its income climb by a quarter (25%).

Meanwhile, provisional figures indicate that partner profits at the firm have remained flat at last year's mark of £310,000.

Commenting on the figures, managing partner Peter Jackson (pictured) said: “This has been another successful year for Hill Dickinson and we’re particularly proud of the growth recorded by some of our core and expanding practice groups. Our employees have yet again been the cornerstone of this success and we owe everything to their continued dedication and commitment.”

He added: “Obviously the economic downturn presents us with new challenges for the year ahead but we start 2008-09 with renewed enthusiasm and commitment to the twin goals of further improving client service and colleague satisfaction.”

The news comes after the firm last month launched a new financial investigations team with the appointment of Edward de la Billere to the firm’s Manchester office. The associate was hired from Cooper Kenyon Burrows and will head an investigations and white-collar crime defence unit advising clients on financial regulation.
