The trio will advise the FTSE 100-listed company on all its M&A and corporate finance work.
BLP has also retained a supplementary role advising the group on litigation work – an appointment it first claimed in 2005.
Commenting on the appointment, Stella said: “We are delighted to have been re-selected by AMEC to continue our longstanding relationship with the group. AMEC [has] kept us busy on transactional work over the past year or so and have become an increasingly important client.”
He adds: “We are proud to have been associated with their recent success including, most notably, the group’s recent promotion to the FTSE 100 following the successful divestment of [its] Built Environment divisions, which we acted [on].”
As well as the £320m Built Environment deal, BLP also last year advised the engineering and project management company on its £25m acquisition of oil and gas consultancy Rider Hunt International.
