Nabarro has announced the arrival of two new partners to bolster its environment and pensions practices.

Clare Deanesly joins the City outfit from US firm Jones Day, where she headed up the London environment group. Her practice has a focus on waste management, contaminated land and renewable energy.

Anne-Marie Winton joins up the firm’s pensions team from national giant Pinsent Masons, where she was also a partner. Her broad practice covers issues including acquisitions and disposals, benefit redesign, and corporate restructurings.

Commenting on the hires, Nabarro senior partner Simon Johnston (pictured) said: “I have no doubt [Deanesly and Winton] will both make great contributions to our growing pensions and environment practices, where we have seen a considerable increase in work over the last two years."

He added: "These and other recent lateral partner hires show our confidence in the continued success of the firm.”

In this year’s partnership round up the top 30 UK firm made up five new partners, with three promotions coming in its core real estate practice.

The new hires bring the total number of partners at the firm to 127 and come after Nabarro private equity chief Roger Gregory this week confirmed his departure to join the City arm of US firm Brown Rudnick.
