Salaries for female lawyers in the City are on average 30% less than for their male counterparts, according to new statistics from legal recruiter Longbridge Search & Selection. According to the survey, the average salary for men is £124,366, compared to £86,890 for women — a difference of 30%. However, the poll also found that the average age of a female City lawyer is 36, compared to a male average of 43 years old.
