The City-based trio of Martin Fleetwood, Ben Mercer and Mike Phillips will all join the firm’s partnership 1 May, as will Alexandros Damianidis, who is based in Stephenson Harwood’s Pireaus office.
Damianidis and Fleetwood are both finance lawyers, while the promotions of Mercer and Phillips will bolster the corporate and shipping litigation groups respectively.
Commenting on the promotions, chief executive Sunil Ghadia (pictured) said: “All of our new partners have made a strong contribution to the continuing success of our business. These promotions, together with the lateral hires we’ve recently made, reflect growth we are seeing across a range of areas across all of our offices.”
He added: “The decrease in new partners is just a matter of timing – we have different people coming in from different times.”
The promotions follow a string of recent lateral hires made by the firm, with competition partner Julianne O’Leary, employment partners Paul Reeves and Anne Pritam and finance partner Paul Richardson joining the firm over the last 12 months.
