SJ Berwin is promoting eight lawyers to its partnership, taking its total partnership to 175. Six of the new partners are in the firm’s London headquarters, with the remaining two promotions in Germany and Italy. All eight lawyers will join the firm’s partnership with effect from 1 May, 2007. The promotions represent a drop on recent years, with the firm making up a record 16 new partners in 2007 and 13 in 2006.
