The umbrella finance group gets 13 promotions, including four in the capital markets team, while corporate receives 10, including one new competition partner. Employment and litigation get two new partners apiece.
Just four of the new partners are women.
Commenting on the promotions, A&O senior partner Guy Beringer said: “This year's promotions reflect our continued commitment to strategic investment in our international network. [The new partners] will also maintain the regional diversification of our business and the broad spread of the firm across different areas of practice.”
The promotions, which come into effect on 1 May, will bring the firm’s worldwide partnership to 505.
The news makes A&O the second magic circle firm to announce its partner promotions, after Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer made up 25 associates to partner, including 10 in
