White & Case has promoted a record number of lawyers to its
London partnership, with 10 making the grade in the City alongside a further 21 new partners worldwide.
Projects specialist Nick Collins is the first product of the firm’s City training scheme to be promoted to partner. Three other projects lawyers are made up in London, with further promotions coming in corporate, finance, employment and arbitration.
Seven partners are made up elsewhere in Europe, with promotions coming in Ankara, Bratislava, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Paris and Prague. There are just five promotions in the firm’s US homeland, with four coming in New York and one in Miami.
West Coast giant Morrison & Foerster, meanwhile, has promoted 24 lawyers to its partnership, with four new partners made up in Asia, including three in Tokyo.
Recently-merged New York firm Dewey & LeBoeuf promoted 18 associates to partner, across offices in New York, Moscow, Warsaw, Milan, Almatay and Texas.
Washington DC outfit Arnold Porter elected just four new partners, three at its Washington headquarters and one in New York.
French heavyweight Gide Loyrette Nouel made up 10 new partners worldwide, with six promotions in Paris and one apiece in its Kiev, Beijing, Algiers and Belgrade offices.
