Olswang is set to create two high-level working groups to help manage the firm, as it enters its new era of leadership.
The City firm is introducing a strategy board, which will work alongside the firm’s three-strong management team, and an international committee, which will manage the firm’s international policy.
Each committee is expected to have around six members, who will be appointed in the coming months.
The creation of the committees follows the appointment of head of international David Stewart to the role of managing partner last month, following the departure of high-profile chief executive Jonathan Goldstein.
The strategy board will meet regularly with Stewart, chief executive Kevin Munslow and senior partner Mark Devereux and will work with external consultants to draw up a strategy for the firm.

The international team will make regular visits to referral firms, as well as setting up a number of secondment programmes. It will also put more effort into joint initiatives with Greenberg. Previously, Stewart handled all of Olswang’s international issues.
Stewart commented: “The aim is to get people in each practice group championing the international cause. The team will be responsible for the day-to-day issues of international strategy, which, especially with my expanded role, is far too much work for one person alone.”
